[What is botanical dye?]
Dyes are extracted from flowers, leaves, roots, stems, trees, bark, fruits, etc., and a protein-based glue is evenly adsorbed between the fibers and the natural dyes, and a small amount of chemical dye is mixed in.
This is a new hybrid dyeing technique that increases fastness without using mordants and enables vivid color development.
I create my works with the energy, messages, and power of colors of plants in mind.
Natural dyes are not made up of a single structure like chemical dyes.
There are many different types of pigments that change color within one color.
It is believed that both strong and weak pigments scatter light, making people feel safe and providing an element of true relaxation.
